Horizontal & Vertical Offsets

Hi, i need to horizontally offset some symbols that are place on top of each other so they appear next to each other on the floor plan. However when i try to offset them they move left and i need them to preferably move left or right. In the "Horizontal Plan Offset" I've tried entering a minus at the start to see if it will go the other way but as expected it didn't, has anybody got any idea how to fix this?revit Snip.JPG

You going to need to build a custom parameter into the family to move the symbol in that direction.

Where do the Offset parameters come from?  Can you add a horizontal Flip to flip the instance when you want to shift its symbol to the right?

@ToanDN: this link may explain:

At least, that's what I surmised. I think the OP is working with a facsimile of the family shown in the link.

@ToanDN: Sorry. Posted wrong one. But if you drill down to the author's earlier videos on the subject, you'll see where those parameters got created.

Thanks! So there is no mystery. Use a flip should work for symmetrical family. Or, use a left or right reference plane to base the offset dimension parameter instead from the center reference plane. Pair it with a formula if you want to keep the value as 0 for the default non offsetting location.

@Anonymous Horizontal and Vertical Plan offsets will not do what you want them to do. The only thing that will do anything is Elevation. To move these guys right, left, or wherever, why don't you just click and drag?? Keep It Sweet and Simple, you know......
