Highlight Which Levels / Grids are Copy Monitored

Hi forum,

Is there a way inside a Revit view where I can highlight which levels/grids are copy-monitored and which are not?

Similar to view filters, or work-sharing displays.

Use a different level type for them then you can filter by type name.

I am asking how I can check which levels or girds are already copied / monitored and which are not in a view, a quality check view of already copied / monitored levels or grids.

Seems my question was not clear enough.

I am saying:  I already copied / monitored all levels and grids in my model from another datum-linked model.

Sometimes users by mistake remove/stop copy / monitoring, so I run quality checks on the entire model, one of them is checking whether all levels and grids are still copy / monitored, how can I do this without clicking on each one of them to see the if they are? Can I use views with certain settings? filters? schedules...etc.?

This cannot be done directly in Revit and can only suggest a Dynamo Script to identify these elements

You didn't go deep enough. I suggested a different workflow.

Help | Specify Options for Copy/Monitor | Autodesk

Help | Copy Levels for Monitoring | Autodesk

Help | Display a Linked Model in Halftone | Autodesk

Take a hard look at the last Link.  For now, that may be your quickest solution.  Halftone the Link.

Monitored elements display a symbol next to the element being monitored. Is that not enough?

You know, @rony.ghadbanLAC, it's all in the interpretation of what you mean.  My initial read was that you are unable to distinguish between Link Levels that are Monitored and Link Levels that at not Monitored IN A VIEW.  Now you've added that you want to include those "which are not in a view" for a "quality check".   What does this mean? What is it exactly that you are trying to facilitate.

my post is simple:

I have a model where all levels and grids are already copy-monitored from the linked datum file, I run daily checks in a plan view for girds and elevation view for levels to see if they are still copy/monitored my clicking them or selecting them to see the copy / monitor icon / symbol.

I am asking here if there is a way to setup this plan and elevation view to have some graphical settings/filters..etc. that highlights the levels and grids that are still copy monitored to differentiate from  the ones that are not, instead of me clicking them or selecting them to see the icon / symbol?

So, you want to check which Link levels are monitored AND which levels were, at one point in time, monitored in the Project. Well, I don't know how you could tell what Link Levels were once monitored. They are either monitored or are not monitored. But you can see what Linked Levels are still being monitored in a Project View (which shows every Level in the Project) by selecting all Levels looking for the Monitor Symbols above the Levels - as @Alfredo_Medina mentioned.  Or you could just use the Copy/Monitor tool and Monitor Link Levels. Revit will let you know if a Level is currently being monitored.  Obviously, if someone did accidently press Stop Monitoring - which I assume is what you're trying to determine - then you would have to run Copy/Monitor to correct it anyways.  So maybe the "daily check" starts with Copy/Monitor.

Have you looked at "Coordination Review" as an alternative to graphical representation.

I have everything set, all copy monitored, all levels shown, I run coordination review to check for changes in levels and grids but it does not tell me if a level was stopped monitoring or not.

I just want to know if there is a simple setting in the elevation view that highlights which levels are still copy / monitored and which levels are not, just a by view, just by looking at them when i open the view without having to click them and look for the icons. (e.g. the copy / monitored levels appear in green color, the not copy monitored in red...).

If there is no way of doing so then I can accept that and carry on with my regular checks.

Apart from what has been mentioned above (symbols), there is no way to do what you want, unfortunately. Not even in Dynamo, I searched for something that could detect monitored elements and I did not find anything.
