Hiding walls of a specific type

I have a couple of wall types such as a basic brick wall and partition walls only some of which I want to hide.

the 'normal' way (I know of anyway) is to select the wall and hide by either element or category but since there are a number of each of the types of walls, I was wondering whether it is possibile to hide all partition walls and leave the brick walls in place?

Clearly if I select hide element then I'd have to do this for each and every wall and if I hide category then I hide everything!!

I'm guessing since both are types of walls then you'd have to filter by name, if that's even possible...

you can filter by type name or a certain comment or by material or whatever you want.

You can also use a plugin for selection where you can select different elements by type or material then after selecting , hide by element. For example: https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=2938312742466834126&appLang=en&os=Win64

You can also select the type you want...
right-click select all (or from project browser) to select all in view (SA)/project...
save selection...
and apply a selection filter under the Visibility Graphics' Filters tab.

...or as shown create a filter by property for any wall, also works on newly added walls of the type. Because small note to above is that you would have to add new walls to your selection set. ^^
