Hiding contour lines in subregion in linked-in-model

Hi!

I have a site model linked which has my contour lines visible. I want to hide the contour lines where I have a road, and am using a sub-region. Changing visibility/graphics options on the linked-in model works but doesn't transfer across to my central model. How do I hide them on the central model?

Thanks 🙂

Hi @ifin357,

Please watch the Screencast I recorded to show you how you could do this.

I did this using Revit 2018... the steps are as follows:

  1. In the Revit model with your topography, select the road subregion
  2. In the Comment or Name Parameter, input 'Road', and then save
  3. Reload the link in your 'Central Model'
  4. In the view that you want to override the topo, open the View Template or Visibility/Graphics Overrides
  5. Create a Filter for topography by Comments > equals > Road
  6. Change the Projection Lines colour to white, or untick Visibility
