Hide 'cut with voids when loaded'

I have a family that cuts a void in a wall when it is hosted by that wall. I certain section views, I need to hide these elements so that the wall is shown without that element present.

However, when I do this, the void is still showing on the wall. 

Is there a way to hide the void as well as the element?

...do you mean the Unattached Void shows when you select the family in the Project? That's normal. It shouldn't be seen otherwise. In the Family, it always shows.

A wall is cut then it is cut. What you can do is put the element in a different phase from the wall so that you can change the Phase for the view to show the wall being cut or not.
