HELP! Model shakes when I orbit in 3D-view

When I make a 3d view and orbit everything shakes, if I take an older 3d view they turn smooth as butter. I have tried deleting my 3d view and creating a new one, the same thing still happens. It makes no difference if I turn off all my revit links it still shakes. If my coworker creates a 3d view they rotate just fine. If he opens my 3d view and orbits it shakes. If I open his view it turns smoothly. This started yesterday after I created a new 3d view from scratch(I had renamed and saved my 3d-view for a sheet) of course this new view had everything turned on so I started turning different things off (Revit links, adding filters), my coworker who was watching me said that I should apply a template. I though it a good idea so I edited the type and added a view template. All the 3d views from that point on shake badly. Any help would be appreciated.

@Ksustaire

Check for a graphics card driver update and see if you are on the same version as that of your co-worker.

...sounds like the mouse batteries need replacing.

...or maybe something is pressing against a keyboard key. Seriously.  Or maybe just a sticky key.

We both have the same driver version. I really don't think it's a hardware issue as my views shake on his computer and his views on my computer don't shake.

Maybe Monitor-related?

I don't believe it's hardware related as my coworker has the same issue with shakeing when he rotates my personal 3d view on his computer. And when I look at his personal 3d view on my computer it rotates very smoothly.

You know, 3D Views do get corrupted sometimes. Delete it and create a new one.

2 things I can think of as I have seen this happen before but could not pinpoint the cause at the time...

1. Check that you are both running the same version of revit. You have aldready confirmed your graphic drivers are the same, but perhaps there is a difference in your revit versions.

2. Has the model been upgraded from an older version of revit? I have found that any models that go the upgrade process multiple times (eg. from 2016 and earlier up to 2020 in my exp.) get quite buggy.

Do you have any CAD links, Coordination models, Pointclouds?

ok, this works for me... delete the 3d view, turn on your navigation wheel and center the pivot. thats it. but it doesnt look like a permanent solution.

I was having the same issue until I checked in Properties under Extents, look for "Far Clip Active" and make sure that's checked. Hope this works for you.

Sounds like your origin is many miles away.
This tends to cause problems with zooming and the model shifting.

This was my fix:

I deleted my 3D view and created a new one because my original 3D view was very glitchy. That fixed the glitchy-ness but created the bounciness when panning. I went to the Properties and under the Camera heading I changed the Projection Mode from Orthographic to Perspective. Panned around in the Perspective mode and everything was smooth. Then I switched back to Orthographic and the shaking was gone. I also noticed that when doing this the Eye Elevation and Target Elevation changed to much shorter distances than was being shown before, which I think is what was causing the problem. Hope this helps someone! -Fili

I just want to confirm that actually deleting the view and creating new one fixes the problem. Why it is still happening 4 years after this post is beyond me.
