Add a Drafting View (Detail)?

View Tab=>Create Panel

All you have to do is create a "drafting view" from the View tab. This will populate the project browser with the drafting view category. Currently, your project doesn't have any drafting views, that's why it doesn't show up.drafting view.JPG

By "Detail Level" do you mean coarse, medium, and fine?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Funny; now I'm wondering. What does @jpkottai mean by "Level"? Maybe he's wanting a different Browser Organization? View Tab=>User Interface=>Browser Organization.

That's why terminology is so important. Detail level is a Revit term and since the browser is organized by view type, that's where my mind went. I thought the objective was to have plan views with a certain detail level sorted under a different type.

He could very well be talking about views for details and by level he is referring to the project browser. If so, you guys are right in that the view type will automatically show in the browser when the drafting view is created.

You can create a Detail view by draw Call-out or a Section and choose Detail View from the properties.  Please read the link below:

Obviously, there is bit of a language barrier but I think you are referring to the "project browser organization". You will need to create a custom type. If you can't figure out how to do it, I will post screen shots later.

"no dear"?  Those are two words I hear a lot from my Wife.

Just saying...Smiley Wink

FWIW: Drop the "dear" in the future. "No" will suffice.

There's only one thing worse than people going off topic the way they did. It's the OP going with them and ignoring the post that tried to help.

Good luck.

Why are you even going there? I'm fairly certain there is a translation issue here as I've seen the term used inappropriately before. You should realize that people from different countries have different cultural norms that may seem out of place to you.

Are you asking me a sincere question, or making a veiled point and judging me based on your own hang-ups?   It’s called humor, Sir. It isn’t a culturally exclusive thing. Lighten up. I’ll bet @jpkottai did after seeing the cartoon.

Nothing veiled about it. You've got to realize that one culture's humor is another one's insult.
