Hatches don't export to .dwg

I can't get hatches to export to .dwg format with Revit 2019 or 2020. My process is importing SketchUp files to be a generic family and setting views to shaded/consistent colors/realistic mode and exporting to .dwg but hatches don't work.

I believe I was using Revit 2017 before this and it worked just fine. Is this a bug in certain Revit versions? If so, is it fixed in 2021 or 2022?

What are we taking about? That's 3 different Visual Styles - and Realistic doesn't display "hatches".

I was just noting that I've tried all three. I thought "realistic mode" applied a generic solid hatch (obviously doesn't include textures)

You are talking about shade and shadow. They are not hatches and they won't export to DWG. Ever.
Hatches are filled regions, materials surface/cut patterns, coarse scale cut patterns. Those can be exported to DWG as actual hatches.

Correct. I meant exporting model faces from Revit into .dwg hatches.

I figured out the issue as @barthbradley pointed out. You have to use the visual style "Shaded" or "Consistent Colors". "Realistic" won't work.

Hey,

So the place where I work requires a lot of transfer of files from one software platform to another(generally between Sketch Up, Rhino, and AutoCAD). Here, we use the BIMDeX plugins which helps us with the smooth transfer of the files between these platforms. You can try them as well.
