Hatch overlay to color scheme?

Is it possible to add a hatch to the colors that I have applied to specific areas in an area plan? I have specific areas delineated by color to represent different program areas, but also want to show different hatches to delineate the phasing for each program area. Hatching would need to be black linework over the color assigned per area. Different colors/departments will have the same phasing (half of the areas will be Phase 1 and the other half Phase 2...).

Wanting the black linework over the color fills as showing the hatch as a color doesn't read very well graphically.

I have created a 'Phase' parameter and it populates under the Identity Data for each individual area (I tell it what phase it is).

I can do a new area plan and create a phasing scheme in the Color Fill Legend, but wanting to consolidate the info on one area plan.

Any feedback is appreciated.

it's a bit 'how you do it' but you could create two Area Plans and use one for colors and the other for patterns and then superimpose them on a sheet.

You should make the filter:

and use the filter in view:

Agreed this is one way to do it, but prefer to keep everything in one area plan.

The only problem is that I have several different areas that each have a different color assigned (based on program/use). Each of these then have a phase applied (phase 1 or phase 2). Had to create a filter for each program area, but it does keep all of the info in a single area plan.
