Revit is telling me that I "Cannot create continuous rail geometry" when I'm trying to add 3" fillet corners to my handrail extensions. It lets me make the fillet on the top but not the bottom part of the rail.
There may be a technical workaround to fix this issue, but the fact that this doesn't work is pathetic. I'm literally doing the exact same command to the exact same element and it randomly doesn't compute.
This is one of numerous examples of why many are frustrated with Revit and are starting to look toward alternate software solutions. We're tired of trying to figure out how to fix stupid stuff like this every day.
Autodesk, fix it

I get the same error. That was the first thing I tried before editing the top rail
Thanks @barthbradley it was switching to Gooseneck from Simple transitions. Any idea why it didn't work with simple?

Maybe because of a crick in the neck? See if a heating pad or rice sock helps.
Crick in Neck: Treatment, Causes, and More (healthline.com)
Seriously though - looks like a Gooseneck condition to me and Revit concurs with my diagnosis.
