Welcome to the forum.

It's hard to say more without having more information. But, based on your image, it seems that you have a profile family that contains two shapes for gutters? Again, please provide more information so that you can get better help.

Is one the actual profile and the other a detail component nested in the profile family?

I don't know. It is the gutter that comes with roof in Revit.

I am using the standard gutter in Revit architecture. I used it on a 4 houses. When you look on the 3D, fasad it is ok. But in the section only one edge which is not ok. Please look at the photos below. You can see this edge in section, 3D and Elevation. Only in the section it looks like that and only this edge.

Can you copy paste the roof and its gutter to a new file and post it here?

I did a new project with only the roof and the gutter. Please look at the section. I attach the file to this post.

That flipped thing is a detail component nested into the gutter profile family, which is fairly common.  If you zoom in your section you can see the extrusion lines of the gutter and the roof, meaning the section is not 100% perpendicular to the roof edge.  I created a new section that 100% perpendicular to the roof edge and the flipping thing is now showing correctly.

I honestly don't know why.  Technically, if the gutter is not cut perpendicularly, the detail component should not be showing.  I guess it is screwy because the section is not exactly 90 degree but very very close.

Revit file is attached.

I discovered that if the Section is not at right angles to the roof the gutter will display incorrectly. Also, in your roof and section if you shorten the roof this will address the issue. I have uploaded my file for review. As far as I can tell Revit is working as expected and as designed.

Thanks for posting and let me know if you have any follow up questions or comments.

Thank you ToaDN!

I actully didn't think about that because the other edge as you can see is "normal" in the same section. Anyway thank you very much for help.

And why are the 3d gutter and the 2d detail different shapes?
