Grid, scope box and linked model - visibility issue

Hello everyone!

I'm faced with the problem of showing grids in linked model.

2017-10-10 18_02_23-Autodesk Revit 2017.2 - [Floor Plan_ GRID CONTROL - VAC_A_Site_Aleksey.Melnikov..png2017-10-10 18_02_49-Autodesk Revit 2017.2 - [Floor Plan_ Grid control - VAC_A_00_Aleksey.Melnikov.rv.png

It seems like when you link model with grids in another model, the grids with applied Scope box aren't visible.

I wouldn't like to Copy/Monitor all these grids, or create special view in linked model. I'd like to find normal sollution.

Is it a but or I just don't know how to use it?

Has anybody already found the sollution?

Yes the solution is copy monitor the grids from the link to you model so you have a total control of how and where to show them, which of course, you do not like.  It's like you want to drive a car really fast but you don't like to touch the gas pedal.

@ToanDN thank you for the reply.

But anyway, is it a bug or are there some reasons for such behavior?

There could be other reasons, such as worksets.  I did a test and they show up just fine.

... Or the linked scope box is out of the view range of you view.

Thank you! You were right!

It's not so easy to find a appropriate view range for axis in plan, by the way!

I should have taken care of it while creating the view.

Unfortunately, that's not the full solution. See this post: http://wrw.is/how-to-show-linked-scope-boxes-and/

The problem with this bug is that we have to do a completely different workflow to create working views (showing both grid systems) OR change our workflow when purging/linking in the arch's model. And of course, even though I would consider this a BUG, we have to vote for Autodesk to fix it:

FIX ISSUE: Grids in Links (with Scope Box assigned) should show in Plan Views
