Hey experienced people !!

i want to compare the differences between two earth surfaces and i came across something regarding gridlines but i am unclear about it.

its like creating gridline mesh on level 0 , then project the points of grid on two surfaces which are above gridline mesh.

Can someone help me regarding it and explain the method a little after creating a gridline mesh

"Compare the differences between two earth surfaces"??? Do you mean between two Revit Topsurfaces?

What exactly are you wanting to compare between the 2 Toposurfaces?

Not sure where you read about the method you mentioned above and what they recommended therein...but Revit doesn't do what you are asking for. As a matter of fact, AutoCAD and Civil 3D does that better.

Best that Revit does is overlaying 2 x 3D topo-surfaces and calculate the cut and fill. To project a 3D topo surface on a plane you need to use Dynamo...something you can do in AutoCAD or civil 3D with 1 command

Isn't this the same as you previous discussion which you started one month ago? I think it is lol

Ok...I am not sure what you are supposed to present but I think the below might do it

  1. then lay a grid
  2. Place Sections along each grid line (X and Y)
  3. Place an entourage family consisting of a model line as a place holder at the grid intersections
  4. Open sections and place coordinates at the hosting point between the entourage family and each toposurface
  5. Place them on a sheet

Upload your file I will try to do a quick screencast showing you how the above will look like
