In Revit 2025, it's no longer possible to attach global parameters to elements in groups without causing issues. This has been tested on Revit 2025.3 and 2025.4, across different machines.
Normally, we would set the bottom and top offsets of our walls to global parameters. In Revit 2025, changing these global parameters breaks the model groups, triggering the well-known "Fix Groups..." options.
Additionally, when I select a wall in a different group instance, the global parameter is not applied to that wall, but only to the group instance I started with.
This behavior almost resembles like project parameters with the option "Values can vary by group instance."
It seems this issue specifically affects walls. When I tested it on a generic model, the behavior was normal, and the group did not break. I am unsure which other categories or parameters might be impacted by this bug.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a solution to fix it?
