Hello, I have an issue with glass transparency. I have a window family where the glass shows transparent in 3D view, but when I import it into the model, it the glass shows opaque in the 3D view (hidden lines model). See screenshots attached.
Material glass is the same, with transparency 75%. I also made a window using Model-in-place using the same material. The transparency shows when I'm editing the window, but once done, it shows opaque.
I've been searching a bit online but cannot find the reason, can anyone help??
Thank you!
Sounds like the Glass Material in the Family is different from the Glass Material in the Project. Keep in mind that Project Materials RULE.
Associate the Material Property of the Glass Geometry in the Family to a Material Parameter under the Family Types and the load Family into Project. Then, in the Project, select the Window and assign a Project Material to the Window's Material Parameter.
If that doesn't resolve, then post your Project (RVT) here and we'll take a look and see.
....wild guess: is View Phase Filter set to Show Complete?
yes sure, this is have many reason :
1- check the name of material
2- check the material
3- check the family Element that define the material or not.
4- check the Object Style in the family
5- check the Object Style in the Project the family category for Example:
if you have the Generic model check the Genericmodel category,Window or CurtainPaneel
that is some slide.
i don't have the glass category in doors but this is just Example:
