Geodesic Wall Massing

I have been trying to make a geodesic house but am currently having trouble getting the exterior walls to join together. I created all the walls from a mass I made of an icosahedron. If anybody knows how I could fix this issue please let me know. I have included an image of the issue.

Select the wall and tap the space bar. Also, check their location lines....

I don't know what you mean, I selected both walls I wanted to join and hit space.

Select one of the walls and hit space. That will adjust the location of the wall. THEN try to join it.

Yeah, I couldn't see the mass either.

I don't want the walls moved though, I am trying to have them based on the mass I created. I will add the mass file here too if it isn't loading in the project

I don't know why your walls are not being joined, but for these kind of shapes we usually use Curtain System. Here, you have much cleaner result.

Ofc, you can create curtain panels to your liking.

Btw, Rsahay, his mass is stored in the project browser/ families.... I've found it there....

Try using a thinner wall

When applying the walls to the faces - set Location line. If it doesn't look right, you can always select all the walls and change Location Line in the properties. Wall centerline worked best for me.

The curtain panel did work but only for one face.

Click face then Create System. Then you click another face and then Create System.

Okay.  Below is the breakdown:

I realized OP use a single face adaptive generic family to form the surface.  The problem with this is the walls by face don't always orient to the right direction so their location line may need to be change from Exterior to Interior where it occurs.  For compound walls with different finishes for Exterior and Interior it can be a problem.

I removed the adaptive family from the mass and create mass faces using adaptive points > reference lines > form.  Now all the walls by face orient consistently to one side.

There are corner cleanup glitches due to the complexity of 5 walls meeting at 1 point.  So I create a void family to trim away the remnants.

The main advantages of using walls by face here is the ability to add fenestration.  If not, using adaptive family/ curtain system/ curtain panel pattern based should give a cleaner look.

Here is another version of the mass family with two x 8-point adaptive generic family and two x 4-point adaptive family to form an enclosed dome.  The thickness can be changed by edit Type.
