Geodesic Dome configuration

Hello,

I've been working on a project for a geodesic dome which I've modeled as a metric mass family using a dynamo plug-in found on youtube (top shown video for geodomes). It created the dome very easily and quickly however it seems to only allow for a Hexagon to be made at the top of the dome, as shown in the photos below.

The problem with this is in order for the dome's triangular panels to reach the base evenly a Pentagon would need to be the starting configuration at the top of the dome, also highlighted in the photos below.

So I am wondering if anyone has used this plug-in to rotate or offset the configuration slightly to allow for this, or has another fast method of creating a geodesic dome with the Pentagon placed at the top rather than this Hexagon I'm currently stuck with.

Any help is appreciated,

Patrick

Domes with highlights are my project, and domes without highlights are examples of proper configuration.

If it is Dynamo, then upload the script so we can have a look. Or contact the author and ask if they can modify the script.

Thanks Louis, unfortunately I'm not very familiar with scripting, however, I did attach a photo of the visual programming for the plug-in I used but it doesn't seem to display much info as I'm fairly certain it mostly calls from the larger package its a part of that I downloaded called the "Synthesize Toolkit". The download for which is found in the description of the youtube video I linked. If you know which section of that package would need to be looked at I could try just uploading a section otherwise it's quite large. I'd also be ok trying to do it outside of this dynamo plugin if anyone has suggestions for that as well.

This look indeed like the Dynamo script. The author created his own node.

I would need to see this script to see how it works. (The screenshot does not show all text on the different nodes)

It seems to have some input for rotations. Not sure if these would get what you want.

The script behind this node is written in Python. So you might need some modifications in that Python script.

(My knowledge of Python is very limited). If The pythion code needs to be modified you could ask the author or somebody else with Python knowledge.

That makes sense, I have tried contacting the creator of the script but so far no responses. I've also tried playing around with the rotation settings however they don't seem to make any notable changes to the configuration of the dome itself in anyway. Will try and contact someone with python knowledge. Thanks again.
