Generic Model - Visible in elevation/section when all Display Options are OFF

Hi forum,

I set the visibility of a generic model family just to be visible in 3D views. But when I load the family in the model and ROTATE it....appears in elevation / section (this does not occur when placing the element parallel to the elevation/section)

Has anyone experienced this in the past?

Share the family to avoid guesses.

You're answering your own question. When you rotate the element and it doesn't match the family's orthohedral views, Revit considers it to be in 3D.

Anyway, as @RSomppi  says, share the family if you can, so we can give you more details on the issue.

Thanks for the prompt response both. I did not know that by rotating the element Revit would consider it to be in 3D.

Family is attached but I believe that with your answer is all clear.

Regards.
