Generic Model type properties greyed out and not editable

Hi I have a lot of generic models for the buildings around my site and somehow I think they are in the structural family as a rebar cover idk how this happened but I would like them all to be editable as a normal generic model or even in a state where I could copy each one and then create an in place mass. I want to be able to edit the generic models faces directly.

this shows how somehow these buildings have the rebar cover structural family type property but I can't seem to find of of these generic models in the project browser either.

I'm still quite new to Revit so any help would be appreciated.

The generic model families should be in the Project Browser. Under Families > Generic models.

You should be able to edit the generic families, even though they have a parameter for rebar covering. You can just ignore that parameter.

The reason the families show a rebar covering parameter is because in Category and Parameters the "Can host rebar" property is active.

Hi Alfredo,

I assume ldyvm1 did the same as me and is trying to edit a Building that came from Froma. The generic models dont show up in the project browser and I dont see a way to edit them.
