Generic model (Sweep Blend) reference points

Hi. I am trying to create an interesting shape of an architecturally designed climbing wall. The problem that I can`t seem to find a solution to create a profile that has one shape at the bottom and another one at the top, where the bottom reference line is straight, but the top has to diagonally pitched planes. Hope this makes sense - I attached an image - the white shape is what I am trying to achieve (this was modeled in sketchUp) and the green is how far I got. I could create the desired shape, but where both top and bottom planes are straight.

Using mass, I can`t even get this far unfortunately. Do you have any suggestions? Much appreciated!

Yes, but when I edit the top plane to chance the second shape, it comes an error saying `unable to create form element` and then it gets deleted. Therefore I can`t seem to be able to create a sweep blend with mass, the same way as with the generic model..

I've made two short screencast:

  • the first one using Blend Component Model in Place
  • the second with Masses

I will try the second video with mass, as the first one is not giving the desired shape. As soon as you make a void & cut, the upper shape will change and then the initial triangles formed will become trapezium shapes (taking into consideration the weird shape at the top and thicknesses varying all along the wall). I really appreciate your video!

I did use your second video to create the climbing wall and I must say your video has been a great help. Much appreciated!
