Generic model dont cut in floorplan

Hi all

i have question over a nested family and cutting on the floor plan

So i have door where u can choose if u would like to add a plinth
but when u go to the floor plan it would not cut ad the indicated height.

i cant use shared family because the family would not chance the dimentions. ( for different door heights and widths)
and i cant hide them and draw them. because when u choose without plint the still see the drawing.

Hi,

The most simple way is to model the plinth in separate parts and make the top plinth not visible in Plan/RCP.

Another method is to change the Door category to Generic model.

You can also model the Plinth inside the door family. Then it works too.

you can add a yes/no parameter to make it visible or not visible:

Make the Parameters that you want to associate to Host Parameters INSTANCE (not TYPE) Parameters.  Shared Families cannot have their TYPE parameters driven by a Host Family.
