Generic Annotation: Angle parameter

Hi all,
This might be a silly question but I am encountering issues.
I want to model what is in PIC as generic annotation. 
Angle parameter is not behaving as it should abd mess my family once changed.

Any idea how to ?

How are you modeling it? and how is it messing up the family?

Ideally when you are using a rotation parameter, you should model the rotating element (in your case the arrow) separately then nest and host it on a reference line locked to the center of rotation...The rotation parameter controls the reference line (not the model lines)

are you using Reference Lines to create your Angle ?

create and flex your ref lines prior to creating other Line work then lock the Linework to your Ref lines, ref Planes etc.

make the parameter an Instance Parameter for the angle then create your Length Parameter using the end points on the Ref Line to constrain the Length Parameter (also an Instance)

I have tried your family and it has same issue I have.

Once you change the angle value somehow the line center shifts because the angle parameter is between two planes only.

 - You need to lock the reference line to both the vertical and the horizontal ref planes

 - You need to assign a length parameter to the reference line to prevent it also from changing polarity arbitrarily

I did not lock the REF Line to both Ref Planes (HOR & VERT)

also the length Parameter ref line end point needs to be locked to the Origin point of the family

It worked with the reference line.
Once I constrain a line into Reference line It will not follow the Reference line rotation.

Before you place any lines...set the working plane >> pick plane >> select the reference line

Then place the model line,,, this way they will rotate with the plane of the reference line when the latter rotates
