Furniture Family changing in each view

Greeting fellow Revit users,

I have issues making furniture behave differently per view. I can't use the graphic override for furniture families on halftone, because we want to see the floor pattern visible through the furniture. Also some of these families I have downloaded online, and are spread throughout a variety of family types which makes them a pain to deal with (gym equipment mostly).

My downloaded families consist of 3d models, for which I have also placed linework in the plan view.

For my Architecture Floor Plans - floor pattern emphasized over furniture:

3d model parts - not visible so I can see the floor pattern

Linework - visible & halftone

For my FF&E plans - furniture emphasized over floor patterns:

3d model parts - visible and blocking the floor pattern, not halftone

Linework - not necessarily needed, maybe turned off

Right now I don't see a way to make this work without making duplicates of every family, one set for the architecture view, one set for furniture plan, and then hiding the appropriate furniture in each view.

Add filters to control the visibility of the families to the view template for each view. No one makes duplicates, believe me!

Edit Furniture families change make 3D parts visible for Medium and Fine detail levels, linework and masking region visible for Coarse level.

For my Architecture Floor Plans - floor pattern emphasized over furniture: 

3d model parts - not visible so I can see the floor pattern

Linework - visible & halftone

Make Furniture category 100% transparent and halftone.  Views = Coarse.

For my FF&E plans - furniture emphasized over floor patterns:

3d model parts - visible and blocking the floor pattern, not halftone

Linework - not necessarily needed, maybe turned off

Keep Furniture category non-transparent.  Views = Medium or Fine.

Right now I don't see a way to make this work without making duplicates of every family, one set for the architecture view, one set for furniture plan, and then hiding the appropriate furniture in each view.
