Freezing when trying to save

Every time i try to save my work Revit freezes and i cant do anything but hit escape which negates the save. I have already tried installing and uninstalling 3 times. What can i do to fix it? i have revit 2016

Have you audited your project?

I have not. I have a backround in CAD but I am new to Revit. I dont know what auditing is.

It's in the open dialog box, lower left corner.  Check the box before opening your file.  It may or may not work, just a starting point.

The only problems is that i cannot save files therefore i dont have any 😞 im trying to make one so i can do my homework for my college class

Are you using multiple monitors?  If so, could the save dialog box be behind another window?

nope just my laptop (16 gb ram, I7 processor, 512 ssd + 2T hd) I dont think its my laptop but ive noticed i cant even close out the program without the task manager
