Foundation slab problem

What is the best way to model this kind of inset (for the elevators) in the foundations? See attached image. TNX

One approach would be as follows:

1.  Select Floor > Edit Boundary > Draw rectangle for opening to cut.  Then add second floor inside this area you removed.  Finish floor.

2.  Change the smaller floor Height Offset From Level as needed.

3.  Then add Structure > Slab > Slab Edge around the opening.

4.  Join Geometry as needed when complete between the floor and slab edges.

If needed you can create a new slab edge profile by creating a new profile family and setting the Profile Usage > Slab Edge.
