Foundation showing below grade in elevations

This was working for me in another drawing and now for some reason it isn't working for me. I have the house placed on the lot and I have a toposurface placed at -0'-8" below finished floor but the footers and bottom of the stemwalls are showing below the grade line on the foundations. I've messed with the graphics overrides such as turning off the structural foundations but then I can't see the exterior slabs above grade.

Use Show Hidden Lines method.

Move your section or elevation line over the topo, then it will show the depth.  If the view reference is not over the topo then you get the effect that you show.

I found why the foundation is showing in the view but not how to fix it yet. Apparently the toposurface has a depth to it, and the in the picture above there is no depth to my toposurface, in the pic below the topo is about 8' deep. My poche depth is at 10' so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Maybe I misunderstood you. Do you mean that you don't want the view to show  "the footers and bottom of the stem walls below the grade line".  Try turning on your Toposurface Category, or draw a Masking Region in the view.  Maybe you have one and it is hidden.   Reveal Hidden Elements (the light bulb icon) to check and see.

Poches only appear if the Toposuface intersects with the Cut Plane of the View.  Typically, Elevation Views aren't cutting Toposurface.

That's exactly right, I'm trying to get everything below grade to disappear. On the second drawing it looks as though there is a white hatch blocking out the footers and stem below grade. Also, I did reveal hidden elements and all that were hidden were the footers, but nothing for them to hide behind.

I suspect that if everything appeared correctly before, then what probably happened is that the missing element (Masking Region or Toposurface)  was Permanently Hidden by Element. Reveal Hidden Elements and Unhide.

The fact that you said masking region helped, I drew a masking region to mask the footers. Even though the toposurface isn't masking it, at least it looks like it should. I get this error now in that file when trying to print. I;m not sure if it has anything to do with my issue. Don't you love the problems that come with new guys? The help is appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about that message. It is not related to what we've been discussing. The message is referring to Mass elements that you have hidden in the View -- but you have "Show Mass" turned on.  If you want them to actually Print, you need to also turn on the "Mass" Category under VGO.
