Foundation Dimensions edited but does not change visually

Hi all,

I have duplicated the existing foundation type dimensions to 600w x 300h however for some reason it does not change in the model.

What am I doing wrong?

You need to check again your family maybe you don't put your new family with this dimension where you want. I think is that because is a System family and you can edit this in particular you only can change this parameters that you have.

Could you give us the step-by-step workflow you used? 

The way I understand it;  you created a new Type by duplicating and renaming an existing type.  Then you either swapped out an existing one in the Project for this new Type -- or placed an instance of this new Type in the Project.  In either case, the dimensions of the new Type instances are not the same as those is shown in the Type Properties for the instance.  

This doesn't seem possible.

Change the values to something other than 600 and 300, apply button, then change them back to 600 and 300, apply again.

What an odd one to have to duplicate the existing system family. Then change to dims you want. Then select foundation again, change to different values then back again for it to work.
