Formula to control visibility based on selected family type in a nested Family?

Hi all, 

I am creating a nested family for accessible toilets. In that family I would like to have the option between 2-3 basins. The different basing will have different taps and other accompanying plumbing fixtures. Is there a way that I can create a formula for the accompanying plumbing fixtures that states "IF Basin type A is selected, then yes to visibility" kind of thing? Or will I have to have the classical not(Basin type A) visibility parameter applied to all the accessories?

It is possible with limited amount of types. Basically for all the types you can choose you have to create a parameter. Then with a formula you can choose the value of that parameter (containing the type).

I rarely use this method and tend to choose for visbility parrameters, instance parameters (let user decide) or make use of type catalogs.

Thank you Louis, that is exactly what I was after. I was halfway there already, but I forgot the Integer part.
