Fonts- I was trying to use a open type font

Will revit use a open type font? I tried to use Graphite Std Regular font, it is a open type font and will not show up in revit but will work in word. Any ideas how to get the open font to work in revit? Don Sutherland, Architect, AIA EMail: don@dwsarchitects.com

Revit works with TT fonts by default.  It looks at the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.  If the font you are working with is in this subfolder and Revit can read it, then it should work.  Only other way is to convert your font type to a TT font type.

Some OTF fonts when converted to TTF still cannot be recognized in Revit. Some just work right off the box without conversion. It really depends on the format of the OTF fonts.
