Font size in level heads

Font size in level heads

I have to change some elevations down to 1/8" scale so they will fit on the sheet. I am using the standard 1/4" Level Head which now makes the font super large at 1/8" scale. How can I change the font size or where can I find a 1/8" head? Tried to load some but all I could find is the different symbols.

Thx,

Marc

Hi

I understand you want to change the size of the text in the level head.

In you project, under project browser > Families >annotations > Level head

edit the family

select he text and edit type

change the text height

let me know if that works?

What @BIMologist_ suggested should work.

Be aware that the change is universal.  One level can only have one text size, meaning when you place a 1/4" view and a 1/8" view on a sheet, the two symbols of a level will be exactly the same size.

The other thing that I want to mention is that Revit will Autoscale based on the scale. The default font height Is 1/8" (not sure metric) the 1/4" circle mark , if it seems too big then you can change the diameter in the EDIT type of the Label. but remember that this is GLOBAL. Level marks are a 3D /Datum object, which just use annotation to represent themselves. They are not a TAG that can be varied based on the scale.

Does this not work in Revit LT because I only have an option to edit the circle, not the text.

Hi. I noted your response but we have views ranging from 1/300 till 1/50 and 1/25, many of those are using levels as reference base. The problem is that when working collaboratively, some people are using one type for their view with small text size, others will need another type with bigger text size. Every synchronization the view is affected and cannot be printed.

Any solution to have view dependent level text size that is not a text ?
