Hello,
I have drawn and modeled a toposurface, even split it to make a hole. I need to split several other parts of this toposurface and later delete them but it just won't work, reporting me the error "The splitting boundary drawn would result in a self-intersection of the surface boundary. Please edit your splitting lines to correct the problem." (Note: the toposurface contains subregions that are not involved in the splitting sketch)
Now:
-I have not drawn a non-closed loop (because even if I use a circle it shows me the same error)
-I'm not drawing the splitting area out of the toposurface projection
-I tried to delete the subregions but it won't work
-I tried to copy and paste the toposurface to another new document but it won't work, if i draw a new toposurface it works.
-I even tried to restart revit and it shows me the same error
It looks like this toposurface has got something that just doen't let this command work, I need to know why, it's been a lot of work to model it and honestly I'm getting tired and I would like to understand what is causing this issue. Thanks for the help.
I am having the same issue. I can split other surfaces in the same file but not this one. I don't understand exactly what the error means.
