Floor Schedule

Hi

Im working with balconies.

And i want to make a schedule there shows the dimensions (Length and Width) of every type of balconies in the project. How do i make a calculated Value within floors there can do this?

Did you model your balconies using system families or a loadable object?

It's a model group, put toghter by floor and a railing.

When working with balconies. I usually build them as loadable generic models, with length and width parameters set up in the family. That way I can usually set up a generic model schedule, with length and width fields, and sort it by type. I don't know if adding a length and width parameter to a floor schedule is possible. 🙂

yes, thanks make sense. I have done that myself too 😊
But we got many types, there are model Groups.
And that’s why I want to do it this way 😊
Do you know if I can add a formula in calculated value and set it up with length and width that way?

So that way I understand this, is that you created a loadable, parametric Balcony and placed instances of it in your Project. Now you want to schedule the Length and Width of all the Balconies in the Project.  Is that correct? If so, are the Length and Width Parameters in the Balcony Family SHARED PARAMETERS?   The need to be in order to be included in the Schedule. 

TIP: Don't create Shared Parameters named "Length" or "Width". Name them differently than the Revit In-Built Parameters. Maybe "Balcony Length" and "Balcony Width".

I understand it differently than @barthbradley . You currently have a set of balcony model groups containing floor and guardrail families and you want to assign a length and width dimension to each distinct type of group in order to schedule them.

If so, I would suggest you need to add a "schedule object" to each group type that has parameters you can assign manually as the geometry may vary between rectangular, "L" shaped or irregular shapes depending on the architectural concept. This "schedule objet" would be a generic object of the required family type depending on whether the schedule must include other modelled elements (rooms, floors, etc) and then your choice of ways to mask it in your views.

It not that way it more like @lucdoucet_msdl describe it.
i have a Modul Group there have a floor and a railing family. The Modul Group are in the template and I can adjust in length and width.
By adjust the lines. I want to assign length and width to all of the different modul group I have and the length and width will show in schedule.
