Floor Patterns - Carpet Tile offset

 So I am currently trying to create a carpet floor where the tile is offet 50% from the adjacent rows, but I do not see an option or way to do this? I can create a custom hatch pattern that allows me to offset, but in drafting view only, not model view. I am currently using an image for the carpet tile to render... Is this possible or is photoshop the only way to get this done? Thanks!

Yes you can.

Your carpet material should have a model pattern assigned to the surface pattern.  Size of the pattern should match the size of the carpet tile.  You can make the line of the surface pattern to nearly invisible (using color and/or line pattern).  Then, you can either create different floors and shift the material alignment individually; or split face one floor, paint them with the material, and shift them in a similar fashion.
