Floor not visible in floor plan but only visible in 3D

Dear all,

I modeled the floor in revit 2015 and divided it into parts for floor finishes purpose. It went well and all floor finishes are visible in 3D view but the same floor is not visible in floor plan.

I clicked the bulb button and selected "select by face" and its still there but there is no option to unhide it. secondly floor category is now Analytical Floors (1).

any solution how can i make it visible in floor plan?

Maybe your floor is below the view range in your view. Modify the range to make it visible.

Maybe Visibility/Graphics settings has floor disabled in your plan view

Maybe you floor is in a different phase, check your phase settings

Hi,

I have the same problem on Revit LT 2017

Floors show up on 3d & site plan, but not floor plan.

Visibility graphics seem fine as floors and mass are ticked, they are on the same phase and the view range is deep enough.  Any tips?

I dont recall having this problem on previous versions.

In my case problem arise when I divided floor into parts. I tried much but wasn't able to solve. I than increased the floor height to 1" (Top offset) now its visible. Its not solution but was able to work on model again.

Exactly the same issue is arising with my drawing too, nothing is working, i tried everything but the floor plan is not available.

Upload the file. It could be view range

There are many settings that will affect the visibility of elements.

For elements which have parts a good first step, as @cbcarch indicated, would be to check the Parts Visibility (try Show Both).

If this doesn’t display the missing item, try going through the steps from the following article:

"None of the created elements are visible in the view" in Revit

This article covers the following items:

• Basic items (Visibility / Graphics, View Range, View Filters, Design Options, Phase Filters…).
• Select by ID – Show option.
• Using View Template to identify why element shows up in one view but not another.
• Further items to check from the Revit help: Objects Are Not Visible

If you've checked many settings and are looking for a list, to possibly remind of something missed, I would suggest reviewing the following Ideate blog post: MISSING SOMETHING IN A REVIT VIEW? 33 STEPS TO FIND STUFF 

If the info above is not helping find why the element is not visible, it would help to get a sample model for review, as @syman2000 requested.

I am facing the same problem on Revit 2021. Visibile in 3d view not in floor plans and elevations. Has anyone been able to fix this?

@Anonymous Considering the 30+ possible causes for this behavior, there is a good chance that the issue you are seeing is caused by something different compared to those previously reported.

What have you checked / tried so far?

Also, can you attach a sample copy of the model for review?

This is interesting, I have been working on a final project and the floors were visible for the past 3-4 weeks. I opened the file today and the floors are missing in the floor plan but they are in the structural plan and 3D View.  I haven't changed the settings and after checking all the visibility graphics, the clipping depth, and else.. those don't seem to be the problem.  I tried deleting the floors and redrawign them but the floors automatically change to structure.

This solved the issue for me thanks, graphic display was in hidden line changed to shaded and the ground floor was visible again.

Another day, another years-old Revit forum that offers 47 possibilities for my problem- none of them work. Surely someone will now ask me to itemize which of the 47 possibilities I tried, and when I say it's not my phases, and it's not my view range- they will tell me to check those things again because after 7 years years of using Revit everyday I'm probably just mistaken.
