FLOOR MATERIAL DOUBLES IN MATERIAL TAKEOFF SCHEDULE

Hi everyone, I am trying to make a material takeoff schedule for my floor finishes. However all materials double in quantity when in material takeoff schedule. I checked the model and I have not duplicated any floor/ floor boundary. Hope someone could share some insights on this. Thank you!Screenshot 2024-05-16 104704.pngScreenshot 2024-05-16 105057.png

You need to filter down where there are applied.  If you select the Blue Row in the Schedule on the right side of the Ribbon "Highlight in Model" you can then see where it is placed to delve further, from the Manage Tab > Inquiry Panel > Id's of Selection and get the number

You can do this for the Yellow Line is should be a different number, you can now use these references number and using Select by ID and find out what's going on

Yes, I actually highlighted all of them in the model using the "Highlight in Model" command and I also check the material ID of both and all the doubled areas have the same ID.

The nature of Material Takeoffs is that each item will show for every material in the family

In the Material Takeoff Schedule, use Sorting and Grouping:
Sorting and Grouping Tab
Sort by Material
Check Grand Totals and Uncheck Itemize every Instance

Otherwise you will need to resort to Quantities/Schedules instead of Material Takeoff Schedule
