floor and column interface, and shafts to cut out floor

Hi all!

I have drawn an architectural floor to reach the boundaries of the buildings.  I would like the floor to fit perfectly around the beams though, and also where there is a structural shaft (void), that this shaft also applies to the architectural floor.

So these are two points – one for the interface with columns.  And one for the shaft openings.

Could someone tell me how I can achieve this?

P.s. in the attached photo, inside the red circles.. this is what I would like to remove.. so that there is not an infinitely small overlap, but that the floor cuts off where the column is.

Many thanks in advace!

Hi,

- You can edit the floor boundary around the columns.

- Or Cut by face.

Hi,

Except the above that @ralphdenhaan describe, you can use Modify -> Join -> Join Geometry.

So if the if you grow the Columns, the outline of the floor will also change.

Take the Join Geometry tool and click the column and the floor. The order doesn't matter.

If the floor cuts the column, then use the Switch Join Order.
