Filter Walls by Project Parameter

The goal here is to have a 3D view that only shows structural elements. I am having difficulty excluding the walls from this view because I have both finish walls and framing walls. I would like this to be done via a template and instead of the hide element command.

My thought here is to filter remove all walls that do not contain a project parameter named "framing":

Filter:

I am not sure where to go from here. It's not filtering.

If you have both structural framing and finishes in wall types then use Parts:

- Create parts from walls

- Create filter(s) for parts NOT using Structural material(s)

- Set views to Show Parts

- Add filter(s) to views and hide

If you have separate framing walls and finish walls, then set framing walls to Structural Walls, then filter out walls that are not Structural.

How do I filter out walls that are not structural?

Use Structural Usage as the filter criteria.

Do I turn off the walls in the V/G Overrides Model and then turn them on in the V/G Filters?

Are they Structural Wall Types?  If so, what about just setting the View Discipline to Structural? That'll hide the non-structural Walls.

No.  Keep Walls on in V/G.  Add the filter to view and turn it off there.
