Filter Rulesets

I have a curtain wall w type mark A1CW1

and

mullions w type mark ABC

and

I have checked curtain mullions in filter category.

The following "AND" ruleset allows the curtain and the mullions to be isolated,

whereas the following "OR" ruleset hides everything

should it not be the otherway around?

AND: all conditions must be met
OR: at least one of the conditions must be met

I get that,

to be clear, by isolated I mean I'm hiding everything but the selection created by the ruleset.

Shouldn't AND require a higher condition to include these items?

What you have is an AND condition with 'does not contain' within multiple selected categories, so mark has to be neither one of these two values. With OR it's either one not containing the value, but it only has one value so it always does not contain the other... what do you want to filter anyway?
