Filled Regions with Patterns and Background colour in REVIT

Hi there,

Can someone explain REVIT's logic why you can't make filled regions with let's say a diagonal line pattern and a background colour? Similar to what you can do in AUTOCAD for hatches.

I find a lot of people in my office just doubling the filled regions to recreate this, but it doesn't feel right, so I'm guessing if this feature has not been added at this point there is a logic behind it.

Thanks!

Thanks! Good to know this was added, couldn't find a reason behind it not being there.

I am currently working on a Project in Revit 2017.
