Filled Arc - Generic Annotation - Trick and Problem

Hello,

I want to share a trick and a problem using a filled region on generic annotation.

The goal is to control the color of the filled region using the object style on the main project.

It's not possible to control the color of the filled region outside the family, and you can't turn off the region disabling only the subcategory of the Generic Annotation.

The Arc and Circle have a Filled parameter and you can use this to create a filled polygon.

But if you insert this Generic Annotation inside another non-Annotation family as a Symbol, this happen.

This visual bug is really annoying. (Tested on 2018 and 2021)

Here a full video explain everything:

If someone knows a way to control the color of the filled region on the main project, please let me know.

Not exactly.

If I want to change the color for some elements on the view this works great.

If I want to change all elements on the view a filter should work well.

If I want to change all the elements on the project the Object Style should be the answer, but the filled color does not apply with the Object Style.

Filled regions are not available in the object styles. The color is defined in the region type. It sounds like you should be requesting a new feature (which would be redundant to the region definition?).

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

This problem was fixed on the new version (Revit 2022).
