Files Missing from Metric Library

Hi Everyone,

I'm just having a few problems with the Metric Library in Autodesk Revit Architecture 2011. I downloaded & licenced revit from the Autodesk Education Community. I have tryed a number of times to redownload & uninstall & reinstall the software with little success.

The problem is that I'm missing files from the Metric Library > Structural > Columns the folder "Concrete", "Precast Concrete" and "Wood" are missing, the folder "Steel" is the only one in the available in the Columns directory. I know they are missing becasue I am trying to complete this tutotial - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJyzZy5h_b4 which requires it.

I have also checked on the University computers & these files are also missing.

Would greatly appreaciate your help!

Thanks, Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I would suggest downloading the Metric Content again from here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=14973523. The file you want to save and extract is IntMet.cab.

Please let us know if this helps!

Worked ike a charm! Thank you so much!

For anyone with a similar problem, unzip the .cab into the Metric Library folder found at "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RAC 2011\Metric Library", that does the trick!

I also had no Metric Library or Metric Templates folder in my R2011 installation from download. So I simply made myself the folders (next to the Imperial ones) and installed the contents as per other instructions in this thread (IntMet.cab and IntMetTempl.cab respectively) into those folders.

Puzzled why this problem would arise though...?
