Please help in recovering the following files worked on Revit 2017. The journal files failed as well as the recovered rvt files do not audit and open.

The files got deleted by formatting by mistake.

It is a students work on student licence. Does that make it eligible to file a report?

thanks for the reply, hope there will be more options to recover for revit
files in future.
I opine that Backups need to be saved in some other locations say the drive
where revit is installed similar to CAD or Max files rather than same place
of the original file.

Where were these files saved at?  Perhaps on a File Sharing site?  Was someone elese in them when you created the zip?  Do you have backups?  (have 00xx.rvt file names)

We have seen this before if someone is trying to open files off of a sharing site like OneDrive or Dropbox, as well if opening files over a VPN and not saving locally.  They get corrupted and cannot be opened.  You can try to submit a support case at manage.autodesk.com with the same Autodesk ID you are using for your Student license.  It may take a few days to get an answer though since you don't have paid support to get higher on the list.;

Dear Aruna

I am very sorry for this situation but the files you uploaded (all) are reported as truncated \ not properly finished and even with our tools we can not open them.

The most probable reason of this issue is lack of disk space on local drive and \ or on network drive. Also sometimes large number of temporary files in windows %temp% folder may be the cause - please clean this folder. In case files located on network drive \ cloud respository - temporary \ incidental lack of network connection may do this.
I am very sorry.

Dear Rafal,

Thanks for trying. We eventually redid the works. The files were mistakenly deleted and recovered from a recovery software. Thats why it may have been currupted.
