Hi,

Can anyone advise how easy it would be to create a wall to look like the attached images?  Very much still new to Revit so thought maybe curtain wall and change material but maybe its not that simple.  Would I still create mullions ( but very thin ones ) to create the panels?  Any advice appreciated

Thanks.

I think that you are on the right track using a curtain wall to make these panels. Create a custom curtain panel for use by the curtain wall that has the correct panel depth and a type parameter for Finish that can be used for the various colors. The panels that have faces that are not flush with the typical can make use of an offset value. The panel joints can be created by using a mullion profile with parametric width and depth then use that to create a mullion. Then use Add/Remove segments to add or eliminate joints to match the required pattern. To me that would be the simplest solution. If you have soffit panels to be created you would need to match your curtain wall system specs with a curtain system and apply it to a roof or a mass. Sloped glazing system would work also applied to a roof.

You could also make the building panels using a wall with reveals for joints, or even using a parametric Generic Model for the individual panels. If you want to get to the end quickly a curtain wall would be my suggestion

I do tilt-wall construction as follows:

1. Make Wall types that represent the panel constructions.

2. Make Curtain Wall type that uses the most common Wall type as its panel.

3. Make Mullion profile representing joint sealant.

4. Set Curtain Wall type to use that profile as appropriate (all interior, and exterior only where one wall will butt against another).

5. Manually change panel to use another Wall type only for those less common panel constructions.
