Hello,

i'm trying to apply formula from shared parameter (Door Height) to shared parameter from nested family (Glass Panel Height) but i receive the attached error message.

Revit 2020

Any ideas about that ?

thanks its already solved, the problem was due to the presence of brackets in the name of the parameters.

i assume you added the "(Shared)"to the parameter name for you to know what is a shared parameter vs a family parameter.

I do something similar, but I add "SHARED" to the front of the parameter name. No brackets.

And no, you have to recreate shared parameters, there is no re-naming. The name has to be what you need the first time.
