Hello, I've downloaded a few Revit family objects from a manufacturer and have been unable to get it display correctly with Revit. The object is a data center rack and I'm trying to place it upright on a floor in this case Level 1. When I insert the object (drag and drop from Family folder in Project Browser) the rack is rotated incorrectly on its back side in the 3D view. The rack should be on the its bottom so it stands up vertical as shown in image 2 attached. In the family editor, it shows the rack's front as the "Top" view and the rack's bottom as the "Front" view. Is there any way to rotate this object's assignments so that the view shown in image 2 attached is the front view? And the view shown in image 3 is the bottom view?
I've read on forums here some people have had success unchecking the "Always Vertical" checkbox. I've tried both checking and unchecking with no success. I've also tried many of the checking the work plane checkbox as well as placing the I was able to get the one of the rack in the 3D view to actually show upright as I need it. The problem is I need to copy hundreds of these same objects and when I copy them, they default back incorrect orientation on the wrong side. Attached are 3 images. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
