Family Creation: Fixing Chamfered Edge & Adding Angle Parameter in Revit Family

am creating a Revit family with a chamfered corner. The issue is that when I increase the Length parameter, the chamfered part behaves as expected. However, when I adjust the Width parameter, the red line part (refer to the attached image) changes shape instead of remaining fixed.

I want the red line (chamfered edge) to stay consistent and not distort when the Width parameter changes. How can I constrain or lock this part so it remains fixed relative to the Width?

I also need to add an Angle parameter that controls the chamfer from its center point. Any suggestions, recorded tutorials, or sample files demonstrating this setup would be extremely helpful.

You need to use reference planes as much as possible (not to over constrain but just enough to have good control over the geometry). I do not have 2024 so I recorded it in 4 GIFs. (Edit attached is a 2022 version which you can upgrade)

The width had issues when I first upgraded the family and flexed it empty. Not sure if that was due to the upgrade. Removed the constraints there or simply delete it and recreate

Awesome, thanks a lot! I am really grateful to you 🥰. Is it possible to add angle parameters to that family as well, so the whole family rotates from its center?

If you do not wish to rotate it with the spacebar while placing in model, you can use this family as a child and nest it into a second generic model (Host/Parent) where you place the child on a reference line controlled by an angular parameter
