failed to open document

Hi.. I am trying to open a revit file sent to me by a third party however I get a ''failed to open document'' notification when my revit opens.

Could this be because my version is 2014 and the file I'm trying to open was created in a newer version ?

Thanks in advance

@Anonymous,

If the model you have received a higher version is you get a message from that.
What you can try is to turn on Audit when opened.

Hi @Anonymous,

If you open Revit and then to the "big R".

There you click on open and select the model.

Before you click open select to audit as the picture can be seen in my previous post.

Hi, as feedback, this option did not work for this message. The error message still occurs.

With thanks,
