I have modeled a triangular window to be used on attic kind of roof.
I have modeled as a generic model face-based but when I change its category to Window, it does not being cut correctly in the floorplan.
No matter what settings I choose in the Window family visibility, nothing changes, it displays it like a top view.
How can I have it shown in a Window schedule and have it cut correctly in the floorplan view?

If you want to have a Windows Category as a family, you could do a workaround:
- In the family editor, make all the Solids (elements) - to NOT be visible in e.g. FIne, Medium Detail Level and not be "Plan/RCP"
- Then you would need to create" Symbolic Lines" in the same Areas (or cut planes) that you want it to be seen in your Floor plan in project. These Symbolic Lines have their own Subcategory, which you can control under Windows Category in you Project.
It take some work in the Family of the window - you have to properly align and Lock all the symbolic lines, but once it works, you should be able to see the window properly cut.
@anze.kumar I managed to hide the window but the symbolic line do not show up.
Could it be becasue the window is a face-based component?
The refernece level is actually the front view of the window.
I don't quite understand what you mean with the reference level being the front view of the window.
As for visibility, I think it should not matter whether it is face based or wall-based. I would check couple of things, the priority one being:
1. In the family of the Window, check if you have all the Symbolic Lines correctly modelled and set the correct Visibility setting (also, try unticking the bracket shown below in picture)
2. Then in your project, check if all the Smybolic Lines that you modelled in the family are checked in the V/G settings Also check which Model Display do you have turned on in your Floor Plan (Course, Medium, Detail).
Then also check in your reference level which is cutting the window actually cuts the window and/or adjust View Range appropriately.
OR maybe the Extrusions of the Window are "blocking" the Lines - try setting Transparency to Window and see if the Lines show up.
I mean this is the floorplan view of the window family.
The window is cutby the cutplane because if I set it to generic model its fine.

Ok, I tried something without Smbyolic Lines and the Window lines are shown in Floor Plan (when cut) and also in section.
- Choose Extrusion of the Frame and set it as "Frame/Mullion" subcategory and make it seen in all Detail levels.
-Make sure in your rpoject that "Frame/Mullion subcategory is checked then reload your family to the project

I tried with your settings but nothing is changing. I have placed it on a sloped roof as you can see on the second image. Its represented from a top view.
In the family almost everything is the same..
When cutting the window in your project, you can modify how a certain Subcategory is presented. See example bellow for Frame/Mullion.
Then, when you insert your family with modified Visibility settings, you see a cut like this (at least in my case):
