The attached project file shows a cabinet door family that is face-based. The door is hosted to a vertical reference plane. The door exists in the plan cut plane, but the door is shown is if it is below the cut plane when it should be shown as cut. You can tell because the line thickness should be thick, and the material cut hatch should be the plywood hatch.
Casework is part of the cuttable family categories, so why wouldn't this work?
Hi,
Casework is cuttable by sections but not in a Plan View. Then it will use the Projected Line Weight.
- Workaround for you is to change the category of the family to Generic Model for example
- Or create a new Generic Model Family and add your family to it as "nested" (don't forget to make your family shared).
Then it should work with the View Range.

Unfortunately neither of these worked:
Revit still will not cut the family in plan. I think it's because it's a face-based family that has been placed on a vertical plane.
