External Hard Drive not showing up in save/open options

This might not be an appropriate forum for this question however this issue is strictly Revit related.

Since upgrading to Revit 2024, The external hard drive I have all of my Revit projects and backups on is not showing up in the Save As or Open dialog options. It's accessible in every single other program but not in Revit. I have 2 additional Ex Hard Drives that do show up in these options. But the one I need is nowhere to be found.

Can anyone tell me what I might need to do to access this hard drive from Revit?

Thank You Syman2000 but I didn't find a solution there. Says disable run program as administrator but that was not enabled to begin with.

Are you able to access the external drive from Windows? What drive and what connection? Could yo access it with older Revit versions? did you install the latest Revit update 2024.1? Can you copy those files to the internal drive or a network drive?

 

 External drives really are not designed to work off. Slower, less reliable. 

Revit Version: R2026.2
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
